Oceanside Pier {Fall Break '13}

It rained on Wednesday. It was very cold. Oceanside Pier was fun, but only the first 5 minutes.

Blue Beach Bungalow

The Blue Beach Bungalow was the first beach house we have ever rented! And let me just say I enjoyed this house so much, I kinda cried when we left. I don't think I will ever want to stay in a hotel ever again {well at least when going to California}. When we pulled up to it Sofia and Hazel ran to it to it, opened the white picket fence and acted like wild kids. Once inside they went to their room and to their surprise, it had a shelf full of toys! The backyard had a lot of beach toys, a wagon, beach chairs, bikes, a grill and a jacuzzi! We were a few blocks away from the pier, but this little house was worth every penny.

Ok, and how cute is the garage wall?

The girls loved their little blue house. They bonded more than ever. They started the night with Sofia being on the top bed, but every morning there this is how I found them. Hazel was on the daybed and Sofia was on the trundle. And sometimes Hazel was on the daybed right next to Sofia.

SeaWorld & San Diego Temple {Fall Break '13}

Last minute trips are always the best. This past week we took an planned/unplanned trip to San Diego and it was so much fun! We stayed in a beach house a.k.a. Blue Beach Bungalow. We were in San Diego Monday through Friday last week and we went to SeaWorld and Legoland. My cute girls enjoyed every second of the trip and were a little sad when we came back to Arizona.

Our first part of the trip was SeaWorld. Sofia and Hazel loved it! The first ride Sofia got on was Atlantis and she wasn't even scared!!

After Atlantis we did some exhibits, our favorite were the turtle reef and the penguin close-up tour.

Then we did some rides Hazel could get on.. Bayside Skyride was perfect and scary. Hazel had no intention to sit still and wanted to climb out.
 Ahhh, there's my crazy child!

This was seriously the best part of SeaWorld {that's my opinion}. The guy with the guitar was hilarious. I enjoyed the show so much, I didn't even take a lot of pictures. The dolphins did so many cool tricks and the people working the show did a diving show, I was mesmerized.

Sofia's favorite. Probably because she was down at the soak zone. She thought it was so cool to get wet by Shamu.

We ended SeaWorld by letting the girls play on the little kid playground. They had fun!
When we were driving back to our beach house we decided to stop at the San Diego Temple. It was my first time there and I was just blown away by how beautiful this temple is. I thought of the young women theme "Stand Ye in Holy Places, and be not moved." Sofia fell in love with this temple too! She said she wants to get married in the San Diego Temple because it looks like a princess castle.

SeaWorld and San Diego Temple were the perfect way to start the perfect getaway!

Family Pictures {Fall/Winter 2013}

Our annual family pictures are here!! Brooke- {our photographer, and sister in law} got a 100% with these pictures. I.cannot.stop.looking.at them! Seriously loved them all. Hazel has been sick the past few days so getting her to smile was a challenge, but she came out looking adorable like always. Brian didn't complain about getting pictures done, and Sofia, well Sofia loves the camera.

This picture is my favorite!

My little Hazel.

And my little cowgirl Sofia.

Crazy trip to California.

I like to plan my weekends in advance because I like having things to do. Saturday when I woke up I knew my in-laws were coming back to their house. So the plan was to get the house clean, and take the girls out to lunch, and probably take them Halloween shopping. A simple phone call changed it all. My dad called me and asked if we could go to California to pick up my brother Angel. We left our house at 7pm on Saturday and got to Moreno Valley a little pass midnight. Brian drove most of the way. When we got to the hotel Hazel was up with tons of energy, she didn't go to sleep until 3 am. Sunday morning we left the hotel and drove to Inglewood to meet up with Angel. He had packed his "life" in 3 small bags, said goodbye to the family he had there and started his new life. On the drive back we decided to stop at the beach. So we headed to Huntington Beach for a few hours. The girls played and we all had a great time.

We had lunch at Ruby's right on the pier. That was fun, because we sat upstairs and had the most beautiful view {sorry, I have no picture to prove it}

This was Hazel's first time at the beach. She loved everything about it. The water was freezing cold, but she didn't care or complained, she wanted to chase every wave.

This weekend was great!
