That one time in San Fran 2012

Knott's Berry Farm, Solvang California, San Francisco and Oakland.. That's how we ended 2012. Ok I guess this is it for the "2012" postings that I'm doing in 2013.

Puerto Rico- La Isla del Encanto 2012

I know it's 2013, but I need to blog about Puerto Rico before I forget how awesome it was.
Brian and I left to Puerto Rico December 10th and came back  on the 15th. We had a very wonderful time getting to know each other all over again. This was definitely a second honeymoon {wink wink}. We stayed at the Caribe Hilton Resort in (the new) San Jan, Puerto Rico. We were about 5 blocks away from Old San Juan. Our hotel was beyond my expectations and I highly recommend it... A few days ago we found out that the hotel we stayed at was the same hotel that Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie was filmed. It truly was paradise.. Anyways, Puerto Rico is a very small island with so much culture, history, and amazing beaches.
We started our trip by biking into Old San Juan. That's the way to do it because we got to see everything we wanted at our own pace. We stopped at every place in Old San Juan. We started with The Capitol. This picture below was taken across the street from The Capitol {El Capitolio}.

This is The Capitol.
We kept biking and we made it to Castillo San Cristobal. This fort has been around for a really long time and the "boricuas" have kept it as perfect as ever. When we made it to the top the view was breathtaking.
The inside had tunnels and more tunnels. We also found a jail where they kept Spanish Captains before they were executed. Like I said, this island has so much history. And since history has always been my favorite subject, I enjoyed every second in these forts.

One view from the top of Castillo San Cristobal.
My favorite view.
Here you can see the other fort, better known as El Morro.

This is El Paseo de La Princesa
At the top of El Morro. Loved the view so much! My favorite was hearing the waves hit the fort...

Now, this is Thursday the 13th. Brian and walked all over Old San Juan. I probably have over 100 pictures of just Old San Juan but that would be a lot to upload. My favorite part of San Juan was the brick roads and the colorful houses.

Then we came to "La Casa Blanca" {The White House}. This is were one of the conquistadors family lived. I fell in love with this house. The patio had the most wonderful view ever.

This was probably my favorite room in the house. I liked the terrace's view. Old San Juan has it all. There's so much to do and see.

On Friday we went to El Yunque Rainforest. One word- Breathtaking!

Going to the rainforest was an experience I will never forget.
We ended our trip visiting Luquillo Beach which is one of Puerto Rico's most favorite.
I don't' know if I will ever visit Puerto Rico again but I really hope I do. And to those of you reading this, if you ever get a chance to go to the Enchanted Island, do it. You wont regret it.
