Sofia the fish.

Sofia has this pool all to herself all summer long. We've been doing mini swimming lessons in the morning. Yes, my little mermaid is up at 7 a.m. ready to swim for a couple of hours. Sofia is a good swimmer, she is, but lately she has been swimming like a mermaid. It's ok with me, but I need her to practice regular swimming. That's why we've been working on her techniques, holding her breath, and diving. I do her swimming lessons, and we do 40 minutes of lessons and then free time. She loves free time because she gets to swim however she wants. Her favorite is diving and doing remakes of her favorite TV show H2O... oh and doing the last scene of Taylor Swift's music video "22."

Monsters University

Brian took the girls on a daddy/daughter date, and I tagged along.
He took them to see Monsters University. It was a very good movie.
Sofia loved it. She laughed the whole time and she wants us to buy it when it comes out on blue-ray.

The girls love their daddy! He's so much fun!

Hazel's hot air balloon.

I wanted to do something super unique for Hazel's one year photo shoot.
The hot air balloon idea was just perfect.
She looks so adorable!

Brian and his 2 mermaids.

Brian is a lucky man. He has 2 girls that love him so much.
He is a wonderful father. He spends quality time with the girls and spoils them all the time.
Sofia loves swimming with her dad because she likes to pretend he's King Triton, and since Brian is a very good dad he usually plays along. We had a nice afternoon at my in-laws pool playing games with the girls. Sofia is an awesome swimmer, I should put her in competitive swimming- no joke! Hazel loves drinking the pool water and she likes to play "motor boat."

Father's Day is coming and all my girlies want to do is spend time with the man they love the most.

Hazel's Birthday Party

I hurts to say this- Hazel is one. Here are some pictures from her party.

I love you little one! Thank you for making us so happy with your silliness.

Traviesa

Note to self: Don't ever leave Hazel unattended while folding clothes.
Hazel is a mischievous little girl that will find a way to get into whatever she wants. In other words, Hazel is unstoppable. This morning she found a brand new can of pink frosting. Perfect excuse to be mischievous.

And this is right after I took her can of happiness away.

And yes, her crying was as loud as this picture describes it.
I love being her mom.

Elder Ibarra

The day Miguel has been waiting for came faster than I ever imagined. Wednesday morning as we drove to the airport I was thinking of what an amazing young man my brother is. He is putting his life on pause to serve the Lord. I am so proud of him and the decision he has made. It was bittersweet saying goodbye, especially for my mom. Two years seems like a long time, but it is more than enough to love more and learn more about the Savior and the plan Heavenly Father has for us.  I know everyday will be a lovely challenge, but with faith everything is possible. I want my brother to return with honor and I am very positive that he will make a difference in the lives of many people in Chicago.
