Hard to believe she's going to be 5.

Tomorrow my little miss will be five. It's hard to believe how fast time has flown by. Sofia has changed so much and has grown to be an adorable little girl. She is so beautiful on the outside and on the inside. She's very kind, smart, talented, caring, playful, beautiful..  I'm so proud of her. Since she was a little baby I knew there was something extremely special about her, and now that she's older I know what it is about her that makes her so special, and that is the love she has for others. Sofia is the type of girl likes to say hi to people and talk to them, she loves having friends, and she is very sympathetic when others are in pain. She also has a very good memory and remembers everything and everyone. She's good at making people laugh.. Oh Sofia, she's a joy!

Here are some of the things Sofia learned before turning 5
  • count to 100+
  • skip count in 10's to 100 and in 5's to 100
  • can tell time on a clock
  • can read (slowly, but she's reading)
  • knows her colors in English and Spanish
  • knows The Pledge of Alligiance
  • tap dancing
I'm the lucky one who gets to be her mom and enjoy her! Happy Birthday Sofia!!

We ended summer 2012 like this...

Great way to end Summer 2012 at CTA's Family Wipe Out Night! It was a blast!! Sofia had so much fun doing all the water slides and Hazel had fun being held by everyone.

Hazel's first swimsuit.

There's only one word to describe her... SCRUMPTIOUS!

Bangs!

A few weeks ago, Sofia cut her hair at school. Her teacher said she did it during center work and that some of the kids started freaking out... Sofia for sure is the unforgettable girl in her classroom.

I went a few weeks without fixing her hair, until finally today we went to Katie and she did an amazing job! I personally don't like bangs. But I love them on Sofia!

So Peaceful

When Hazel naps she looks so cute. She always sleeps with her arms open. It has been 3 weeks since she stopped using her pacifier and she has been doing so good!! When she was a newborn she needed her pacifier to fall asleep. Now she just needs a toy or her blankets. She's such a good girl, just like her big sister!

3 Months

My little Hazel is 3 months old today. sigh. I'm so glad I get to stay home with her and enjoy her as much as I can. She's an adorable little girl and I love her to pieces.

Hazel has been so loved by everyone since she made her grand arrival June 10th. She still has all us wrapped around her little finger, especially her dad and her abuela.

Some of the things about Hazel Milan
  • She can hold her bottle. Not for a long time, but she can hold it now!
  • Loves tummy time
  • Loves playing with Sofia
  • Talks a lot
  • Changes clothes about 3 times a day
  • Does not like her pacifier. (I knew this one was coming)
  • Pushes off things with her feet.
  • Sleeps through the night- happy dance
  • Loves bath time
  • Blows bubbles
  • Tries so hard to roll over and to scoot around. (I think she's going to crawl before she's 6 months old)
  • Loves to sit in her bumbo
Oh we sure love our Hazel, and I'm 100% sure she loves us!

Safe and Sound

So this is the story of how Sofia almost got hit by a car.

I left my house to pick up Sofia from school. When I got there she was playing with some girls and took extra time saying goodbye to them. Then we started walking home. We usually hold hands, but today she was holding her lunchbox in one hand and her water bottle in the other hand. I should of put them in her backpack, but I didn't. We're about 5 houses down from our house when we see a car that's about to back up from their driveway. I was going to let the car go first, but the lady gave me the right a way. So as we walk pass the driveway Sofia dropped her water bottle in front of the car backing up (I didn't notice this). This part happened so fast, the car is backing up and Sofia is reaching for her water bottle. Luckily I noticed from the corner of my eye that Sofia stepped back to reach for her bottle. With one hand I QUICKLY pull Sofia from the collar of her shirt, with the other hand I'm waving at the lady to stop. I yelled "STOP!! STOP!! STOP!!" The bumper of the lady's suv was inches away from Sofia's head. There was no way the lady would of seen Sofia because Sofia was bending down to reach for her water bottle. The lady got so scared. I got so scared. Sofia started to cry because I must of hurt her when I pulled her back. The rest of the walk home was a blur. I could not stop shaking. I was so scared. I called my mom and told her what had happened and she came right away to help me take care of the girls. I mean, I was pretty useless for 2 hours because I was in shock. I am so blessed I was able to bring both girls home safe and sound.

4 was a busy year

In 23 short days Sofia will be 5. I'm sad. She's excited. Life goes on.
4 was a very busy year for my cute girl.
Here are the things Sofia did this year-
