37 weeks.
Full term.
Hazel Milan can come any day now.
I had an appointment today and she measured exactly 37.
Last week at my 36 week appointment she measured 34, which means Hazel went through a huge growth spurt. As for me, my feet are swollen soooo bad. I'm ready to have her. Ready to see her. Ready to hold her and give her a ton of kisses. Sofia is ready to be a big sister. Brian is ready to change diapers haha jk. He's ready to see his little Hazel Milan.
Please come soon baby Hazel. We are ready to for you!

She met the requirements!
May 19th, our Sofia took her Kindergarten Readiness Test. Today we got a letter in the mail saying she met all the requirements to start kindergarten early. We are so proud of our girl. And she is very proud of herself.

Preschool Graduate :)
Yes, we have a new graduate in our home. Her name is Sofia, and today she graduated from Preschool. Sofia spent 2 wonderful years at Learning Foundations and Performing Arts. She learned many amazing things, and made a lot of friends. She developed so much in these past 2 years, it was sad to say bye to LFPA. She was so happy to graduate, and we were happy to celebrate. We have always taught Sofia the importance of going to school and getting an education.
These past months I taught at LFPA. When they brought me a contract I was sad to say "I'm not coming back next year." I was offered to work in the Resource Room, but working will have to hold on. I love being a teacher, but my true passion is being a mother. I dedicated so much time to Sofia, I have to do the same with my Hazel.
Here are some pictures of the graduate. Enjoy!
Sofia-
Remember this-

Congratulations Princess!

{Sofia & Brian} Funny Story-
Sofia loves her dad and she loves to show him off!
I mean, a four-year-old having such a young and handsome dad, she has to show him off!
So she takes Brian around to her friends and says
"This is my daddy, and he's white like a vampire!"
Funny right?
I guess Brian needs some tanning.

The Middle Names
We will soon be adding a new baby girl to our family. Choosing the name was so difficult. Brian liked all these "unusual" names, but there was one name I could only agree on, and that was Milan. Yes, like Milan Italy. One day Brian came home and said he liked the name Milan because it was unique and no one has it. I like Hazel. For a while we didn't have a name. Brian liked Milan Taylor. Sounds cute, but I really didn't want Milan to be the first name. And Taylor.. I love the name, just not for my babies. So finally we decided the baby's name will be Hazel Milan. Cute huh? Every one will comment on the name and say "Milan? Where did you get that?" Ha! But it wasn't me, it was all Brian's idea to name her Milan.
So here are some pictures I found of Milan, Italy.
Our oldest is Sofia Chanel.
I love her name! And I think she knows her middle name is all about fashion! She's such a little fashionista and always wants to wear cute clothes.
Ironically and unplanned both of our girls will have a middle name related to Fashion.
As for me, maybe someday I will own a real Chanel purse before traveling to Milan, Italy haha

33 weeks and wanting to be done!
I am 33 weeks pregnant! The past few days I have been experiencing terrible Braxton Hicks. On Sunday night I thought I was going to deliver baby Hazel- that's how bad I was in pain. I've been taking it easy, trying to relax as much as I can. But the Braxton Hicks are there. They refuse to go away. I've been told that Braxton Hicks are preparing my body for labor. My mom, grandma, and aunt think I will be having this baby the last week of May. We'll see. Part of me wants to because I'm done experiencing "false labor," and the other part of me wants the baby to wait, there are some things I need to get some ready before baby Hazel arrives.
I was looking at some maternity pictures I took earlier in my pregnancy. Here's me at 9 weeks.
Love it how fast things change!
Well, if I have this baby at 37 weeks just like I did with Sofia, that means I'll be pregnant for 4 more weeks. Yikes! It's baby time for the Mortensens!
